After purchasing a substantial amount of spectrum in Canada’s Advanced Wireless Spectrum auction in late 2008, Globalive began its largest and most exciting venture to date by entering a very monopolized market – Canada’s wireless industry. Committed to doing things differently, Globalive marked its entry into wireless with a completely unique approach with the launch of WirelessSoapbox.com, a forum for Canadians to share their ideas, thoughts and opinions on all things wireless. The site was an immediate success, receiving thousands of comments and insights from consumers who answered one simple question: ”What do YOU want from wireless?” Working with an extraordinary amount of feedback, Globalive launched Canada’s newest national wireless service with WIND Mobile, rolling out in select Canadian markets in late 2009 through 2010. By offering unique customer-focused service and product offerings, WIND has ushered in a new era of wireless choice in Canada.
