Edward has over 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, which began at Bell Northern Research in 1982 as a software developer working on telecommunications switching gear. In 1988, Ed returned to school to study law and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1993. Immediately prior to joining Globalive, Ed was a partner at the law firm Papazian, Heisey, Myers where he maintained a telecommunications law practice. He represented a wide variety of telecommunications service providers on regulatory matters and supplier commercial contract negotiations. He has also held various positions at AT&T Canada Corp. (now “MTS Allstream”), including the role of Senior Legal Counsel and Regulatory Vice-President.
In addition to holding a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Toronto (1991), Ed has received the degrees of Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical) and Masters of Engineering Electrical (Systems) from Carleton University.
