Simon manages all aspects of Globalive’s regulatory affairs, including transactions, regulatory compliance and policy, litigation, contract review and negotiations, corporate governance and employment law issues. Simon also works actively to identify and effect appropriate investments, partnerships and acquisitions for Globalive, and to integrate such investments into Globalive’s existing operations. Prior to joining Globalive, Simon was a partner at one of Canada’s leading transactional law firms. Simon’s experience there involved telecommunications, financial services, film and television production and distribution, real estate, entertainment, consumer products, manufacturing and transportation. Simon graduated from the University of Toronto with his B.A. (Hon.) in Philosophy, obtained his LL.B. from McGill University, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. In September 2008, Simon was appointed Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s International Corporate Counsel Committee.
